Willow Earrings

If you’ve seen my blog post from a couple months ago, you know I love crochet earrings! I have a pattern that I designed last year, my Sunburst Earrings, that I absolutely adore, but after that blog post I couldn’t stop the urge to design another pattern. So I gave into that urge and created the Willow Earrings!

These earrings are a simple and quick pattern that creates the perfect earrings for any occasion. They use simple, beginner stitches and can be made in under an hour! They are perfect for yourself or to make when you have an friend’s birthday you forgot about!

Now, onto the pattern!

Difficulty: Intermediate

Materials:

Abbreviations:

  • Ch–chain

  • Dc–double crochet

  • Hdc–half double crochet

  • Rep–repeat

  • V-st–v-stitch

  • FO–finish off

Notes:

  • Pattern is worked around the outside of the teardrop shape.

Pattern

Round 1: Hdc 15 around teardrop shape. Turn (15 sts)

Round 2: Ch 2, V-stitch each stitch. Turn (15 sts)

Round 3: Ch 2, *dc ch 1 space, ch 2* repeat to end, dc last stitch. Turn

Round 4: Ch 2, dc first stitch. 2dc, ch 2, 2dc in each ch 2 space to end, dc last stitch. FO.

That’s all there is to the pattern! Once you’ve finished Round 4, you will want to place a small amount of glue over the tail of the thread to keep it in place. Let it dry completely before trimming the tail and wearing it.
